SUSTAINABLE REMEDIATION OF THE RIVERSIDE AREA OF LISBON
EGEO, in partnership with Pragosa, was involved in the project “Sustainable remediation of the riverside area of Lisbon”, promoted by VIC Properties and developed by eGiamb – Consultoria Geoambiental, Lda. This project was published in the book “Engenharia XXI”, edited by the Chamber of Engineers, compiling engineering works and solutions in the first two decades.

EGEO was the national winner in 2019 of the category “The Business of the Year Award with Turnover of €26-150m“ at the European Business Awards.

EGEO, ONE OF EUROPE ‘S INSPIRING COMPANIES
London Stock Exchange Group (a British stock exchange and financial information company) released the report 1000 Companies to Inspire Europe pertaining to the year 2018. Ten Portuguese companies were among the most inspiring in Europe, including EGEO.

REPSOL HONORABLE MENTION
EGEO received the Honorable Mention in Repsol’s annual evaluation of “Service Providers for best performance in Safety and Environment in 2017”.

DOW EXCELLENCE AWARD
EGEO – Business Area – Serviços Industriais LMI, received the DOW award. This prize was awarded for the contribution to the goals set by the client for “Zero Accidents”, for its excellent performance during 2016 at DOW Portugal.
2015
EGEO PARTNERSHIP WITH GALP ENERGIA
EGEO was the Galp Energia partner in 2015/2016 for the cleaning of OP’s for the first time in Portugal with the ATEX robotic methodology of extaction of sludge with hydrocarbons in basins in operation.
2013
INTERNATIONAL MARKET
International recognition of EGEO’s solutions for the recovery of hazardous waste. 2013 marked the start of cross-border processes to import waste from several countries in Europe, Africa and Asia.
2009
WASHING OF CONTAMINATED SOILS – FIRST UNIT IN PORTUGAL
In 2009, EGEO took another step as a market leader in the waste management sector, securing its position as a leading operator also in the field of soil decontamination, with the renovation through physiochemical processes of about 60,000 tons of soils contaminated with hydrocarbons. The process was conducted “in situ – off site”, with the Soil Washing Treatment Technology with the aim of complying with the Ontario regulations, for reuse in industrial areas.

PETROGAL- SINES AND MATOSINHOS REFINERY
Since 2001, EGEO has been the selected company by Petrogal for the global management of waste in their Sines and Matosinhos refining units.
