2020

EXPANSION OF THE CIRVER UNIT

EGEO acquired 41ha of additional land in Chamusca, providing SISAV with 79ha of industrial land available for a wide range of potential investments.

2019

FOCUS ON HAZARDOUS WASTE TREATMENT

EGEO sold non-hazardous waste and municipal waste business areas and focused its activity on the treatment of hazardous waste.

2008

CIRVER -SISAV

In June, CIRVER-SISAV (Integrated Centre for the Recovery, Reuse and Disposal of Hazardous Industrial Waste) opened in Chamusca and became a clear milestone in the principle of self-sufficiency and proximity as regards the treatment of hazardous industrial waste in Portugal.

2007

ECOSOCER INTEGRATES EGEO

Ecosocer – Gestão e Recuperação de Solventes e Resíduos, Lda, the only solvent regeneration unit in Portugal, became part of EGEO and was thereafter fully owned by AUTO-VILA.

2005

EGEO CREATION

The companies AUTO-VILA and IPODEC are now owned by a Portuguese financial company (Olmea) and are no longer part of the French group Onyx (Veolia Environment). That same year, EGEO was created, bringing together AUTO-VILA and IPODEC, the two largest Portuguese companies operating in the field of Global Waste Management.

1987

RECYCLING OF INDUSTRIAL WASTE

Auto-Vila, Lda. changed its corporate object and name to AUTO-VILA, Reciclagem de Resíduos Industriais, Lda, joined the market for the disposal of industrial waste and now operated all over Portugal, e.g. with the acquisition of a Center in Leiria, to centralize treatment and logistics operations.

1949

AUTO-VILA, LDA (CURRENT EGEO)

It was established as a Car Workshop and gradually expanded in the 1960s to the field of waste oil collection.
